Set up desktop notifications

Allow notification permission and understand when the current notification path can run.

Notification permission and alarm sound are separate

Allowing notifications does not make the selected MP3 alarm play from an OS notification.

Enable notifications

  1. 1

    Open Settings

    Scroll to Notifications.

  2. 2

    Enable desktop notifications

    Choose Allow when the browser asks.

  3. 3

    If permission was denied

    Allow notifications in the browser site settings, then reload.

Current limitation

The current notification appears only after the page observes a focus-end or break-end transition.

FlowTime does not currently schedule Web Push for a deadline after the browser is closed.
